TIME FLIES

I am having a hard time coping with the fact that April is almost over. I can't believe how quickly time passes. I was remembering the baby years of Carson and Kelton today and couldn't believe how grown up they are. Cooper has just had his 2 month birthday. Wow, it just seems like yesterday we were excited to find out we were having another bundle of joy.

Today I had a few moments to meditate. For some reason, I felt very close to grandpa Ward today as if he were here checking in on us making sure we were all doing fine.

I went to visit Griffin at the studio today with the boys. They love going over there to listen to their Uncle Griff. They think he is the coolest when he shows them all of his amazing music and beats. They say "HE ROCKS." I have to agree with them on that comment....he truly does rock! While we were there Uncle Barry's name kept coming up and you just know he is also looking down saying good job Griff. It was like he was there in the room with us. Kelton was saying how much he would have loved hearing Uncle Barry play the drums. Someday Kelton .....you will get the chance.Kelton has been kicked out of the house with his drum set.....now he puts on a show for everyone who drives by. He is quite the entertainer.

We went to check on Uncle Tyler today because it was his homecoming. He came home from the hospital today. We didn't get a chance to say hello because he was zonked out on the couch. He gets tired quite easily still. He will get all of his strength back soon....because he is tough as nails. I think his story is a miracle story. All of the top doctors in the world don't have a for sure diagnosis. Where did those 2 large tumors go? I think God is watching over him.

Brian has been up at the house everyday this week trying to get things done so we can move. We will be moving in about 3 weeks. Brian has also entered into a new realm of life. He can no longer make fun of the college kids on campus because he is one....hee, hee, hee. He is taking a night class twice a week for 3 hours on machining. He truly enjoys it. Busy guy.....we are so proud of him and all of his hard work.

Today was a wonderful day. I was able to spend time today being greatful for all that I have. I truly am so greatful at this time for every ounce of blessings that I have in my life. Days will go by when it is so easy to complain about how difficult life is or challenging our trials are, but today I am thankful for my life.

Tyler, Nic, and mom are off to LDS hospital today. They will be having another MRI done and so far the doctor is very promising. I have been hanging out at home talking on the phone letting friends and family know what has been happening. We are so excited he will be down at a one of the best hospitals in the world with some of the best doctors in the world.

UPDATE 9:30pm

I just got done talking with dad and he said some pretty amazing things. The MRI took 5 hours to complete. All of the doctors are stumped. They don't know exactly what they are working with. Apparently they don't think these are tumors. They are calling in the best of the best tomorrow to review the scan. We are hoping for the best right now. We will know more tomorrow. Goodnight, I am off to bed. Little Coop is resting so it is my chance for some serious beauty rest. Let me tell you.....I need it.

TYLER UPDATE

God answers prayers! Tyler is heading to LDS hospital in the morning to meet with Dr. Reichman one of the top neurosurgeons in Utah. Thank you Whit and Schuy for talking to Dr. Rosenburg. Rosenburg called Reichman direct and told him Tyler's situation. They will be leaving first thing tomorrow morning. It is amazing what miracles can happen when people come together to pray. Prayers are answered.

Trials

Today I am greatful for lifes trials. The past few months have definitely been a trying time in my life. I am so blessed with so many wonderful things, yet seem so filled with sadness. Last week we attended Brian's grandmothers funeral in Southern Utah. It was wonderful to see all of his family and be able to spend time with them. It made us happy to be there together with them. After the funeral Kelton made me cry when he said in a soft little voice "I want to see her one more time mom." I said you will someday!

Last week my brother Tyler was having some sickness issues. He had a hard time moving and every time he would he would throw up. So they took him into the doctor where he was diagnosed with inner ear infection. He continued to struggle with dizzy spells and coordination. On Sunday, he was having dinner at my parents house and he was not acting like himself. Something is wrong! The right side of his body was slow and sluggish. He was having a really hard time walking and talking. This is not like Tyler to be sick. He will continue working like a animal even if he feels real sick. He went back into the doctor on Monday and they told him that he could have had a stroke and to go up to the hospital for an MRI. As I was visiting with him in the hospital waiting room, he was in good spirits.

Tyler has 2 quarter size tumors inside of his cerebellum. It is affecting his coordination and ability to talk. He went down Tuesday to the neurologist in Idaho Falls. He is scheduled for surgery on Monday where they will remove his tumors and test for cancer. He will loose some of his ability to walk....they are not sure how severe it will be. Whitney and I are wanting a second opinion from a specialist at the Huntsman Institute. Whit and Schuy will be talking to doctor Rosenburg (good friend with connections) to see if we can get him in down there. Please pray for him and Nic at this time. Have faith in the doctors to know he will get the BEST care possible.

Sometimes you wonder why certain people are faced with so many different trials. Why is it that we have to be sad in order to learn and grow? I am thankful at this time for all of you and the important part you play in our lives.

Carson and Kelton have been so amazing with their little brother Cooper. They love him, take care of him, give him mowhawks, and sometimes even think about changing him. They have truly been amazing. At first Carson did not want another brother to come live with us. Now he wouldn't change it for anything not even football. I am so greatful to have such helpful boys living in this house. Brian has been Mr. mom lately when I don't get enough beauty rest. He has been great! The house is coming along great, but slow. We had such a great time up there yesterday. The boys were out playing and cleaning up the yard. Brian and I were painting the bathroom and installing lights. Everyone was so happy and the weather was just beautiful. Life is great.

I wanted to thank all of you who have helped out over the past month. We truly appreciate all of your generous service. Over the weekend Charlotte, Kenneth, Megan, and Landon came up for a visit. They came up to work at the house in Ashton and to see little Cooper. We truly enjoyed their company. The kids had fun lighting fires, roasting mallows, sanding logs, killing flies, and swimming at the hotel. We had a lot of fun, but everyone was wore out when the day was done. Megan said she will be moving up to hang out and take care of Cooper until she gets married. That is so generous of you Megan! After the busy weekend Brian got pretty sick with I guess the FLU? He is filling a little better today....but it sure did wipe him out for a while. Thanks momma Berta for the yummy dinner you brought over on Sunday. We were sure starving to death....you saved us. PAUL & BRIAN - Hawaii Volcano Ride

Alright family.....It is time for a vacation! Who wants to go to Hawaii? I do. I was flipping through some pictures and found this one of Brian and Paul riding their bikes to the top of some Hawaii volcano. Paul was up visiting last week and stopped by to help Brian with architect plans for the garage. Thanks for all of your help Paul. So let me know if any of you are interested in taking a vacation in October. I don't know how I am going to get there yet, but the "secret" will show me how. Hee, Hee, I love that secret stuff.

We closed on our home today in Rexburg. It is kind of BITTERSWEET. We have loved being so close to everything in town. Brian's commute to work is about 50 seconds, and we have loved that, but we are excited for our new adventures to come. We have never had the opportunity to try something different. Our new move will definitely be different.

Everyone is healthy and happy. Cooper is growing like a weed. The sun is shinning again today which means it is going to be beautiful in Ashton.

CIRC DAY - Ouch

KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED COOP......

Poor little Coop had his little private parts worked over this morning (Circumcision). He was a champion! Taking every ounce of pain like a MAN. Just think that is the only painful thing men will have to endure their whole lives. Look at us women..... we start the painful process when we are born with a vagina. Yup, all the way up until we die.

Brian is up at Ashton today. He continues to make amazing progress. He is working on the banister right now. It truly amazes me how one person can do all this work on their own. He ROCKS! He is looking forward to Ken and Charlotte coming up this week. Shhhhhh....I think he is going to put Ken to work. We are looking forward to seeing them. Brian last night sounded like a cute little school boy when he was saying "I want my mommy". He does miss his folks!

Cooper has had serious gas issues lately that I finally addressed. I called and talked with Ashley yesterday asking what remedy she used for he kidos gas. She said to try Gripe water. My friend Jennica also suggested it so I went to the nature store and bought some today. They say it is absolutely wonderful. I am super stoked to try it. I will let you know the outcome.

The sun is shinning and it is so beautiful outside today. I love this time of year when the birds start chirping and grass starts growing. Oh yeah, don't forget it's Cadberry egg season....YUM.

These boys sure keep me hopping. Everyday after school they gear up and head outside for a game of tackle football. Carson vs. Kelton......Kelt holds his own. I couldn't help but take these pics of them outside beating up on each other. They eat, sleep, drink football. It seems quite weird to me because I don't know where the craze came from. One day they just woke up and said they wanted to play football. It definitely keeps them active.

Brian headed up to Ashton again to get a permit for the garage to be built. He says they are making it difficult to get any type of permit. Insisting that they have an engineer come and survey the property etc. etc. etc. It will all work out fine.

Cooper and I have been homebodies. I tell you what, I am not good at sitting! Cooper on the other hand loves to sit and toot. He has some serious gas issues that need addressed. It is important to me to be actively doing something, and taking a nap is not in my daily routine. I also am not good at watching television.....maybe I need to change my ways. Oprah baby here I come. Actually I keep busy being a mom. I love it so much! Nothing can take the place of doing the best you can at raising a family. Happy day to you all.

OFF OXYGEN

Cooper has been off oxygen for over 48 hours. I think he is a regular oxygen kind of guy. Yup, it's not so bad breathing this polluted air. He has decided that he kind of likes it! We are still just hanging loose at the Williams residence. I have kind of turned into a germ freak. Everyone who comes in has to have gone through a vigorous cleansing process. First, wash your hands. Next, use germ X up to your elbows. Last, mask up if you have been around someone who has been sick. Sorry folks but no germs aloud in this household until summer!

Brian decided to head up to Ashton to work on the house. I miss going up there! I hear he is almost done with the bedroom ceiling. He has worked so hard so that we can have a beautiful home to live in. We are truly excited for the adventure.

Report cards came home today and happy to say that Carson and Kelton are doing great. They were excited to show off the row that says A. We are proud of how hard they have been working. Well, off to change another poop. I will be watching out for the sprinkler to spray.....he is getting to be a pretty good aim.

WE LOVE FOOTBALL

Today was another great day. Cooper has been oxygen free for close to 1 full day. He has been very stable and ready to get rid of his large oxygen tank. It has been beautiful here in Rexburg. The sun is shinning making it pretty hard to stay inside, but we will keep hibernating until the time is right. I am truly THANKFUL for each new day because it brings something exciting and new into our lives.

Carson and Kelton had a great time riding their bikes and playing tackle football with their homemade dummy. They stuffed their clean clothes full of paper towels and toilet paper rolls and duck taped it all together to look like a real human dummy. It was quite impressive! Once stuffed they took it outside and tackled it like NFL champions. I am ready for my 3 hours of sleep.....BRING IT ON!

DOCTOR DAY

We just returned from the doctor's office and Cooper passes with flying colors. He is doing great! He has been off his oxygen for almost a day and continues to thrive. Every now and again he will have a spell and we give him a little whiff and he is good to go. He continues to go poopoo and weewee like a little champ. Our little angel is doing AWESOME. Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers......they were truly answered.

We will continue to hang out at home for the next month until RSV season has passed. I am hoping this beautiful sunshine will warm and green things up. I am looking forward to spring.

Beauty Rest - Bath Time

Wow, what a night! I feel like a beauty queen with all of the rest I got last night......NOT! Cooper's little monitor kept beeping right when we would fall into REM sleep. Brian was up most of the night trying to sooth his little belly. What a guy! It has been nice having the monitor and oxygen to keep his rates where they need to be.

Cooper had his first home bath tonight and loved it.

I am off to catch a quick nap before he wakes up and is ready to PARTY! We head to the doctor tomorrow for a check up. I will fill you in. Goodnight, sleep tight.

HAPPY DAY! We are truly happy today because our little Cooper (Trooper) is coming home. I can't even begin to express how greatful we are to all of the doctors, nurses, family, and friends who have helped out in this trying time. He continues to have oxygen.....but just a minimal amount. It was pretty funny trying to leave the hospital with all of the oxygen tanks and monitors connected. What a wonderful world we live in! It sure makes life convenient with all of these modern day technologies that provide us with so much. The doctor said Cooper would have to stay another 3 days but with the portable oxygen.........we can come HOME!

COOPER SAGA - DAY 6

We had such a great day yesterday. Everyone is in such high spirits. Me and the boys went to Mcdonalds and hung out for a while. After McD's, Jennica invited them to go swimming at the you know where pool (PINNICALE SECURITY) use to be named Sports and Fitness Club. She has a key to get into the pool area. They had such a great time.

Today I woke up and immediately called the hospital. I asked if the Dr. had been there today and what timing.....he was sitting right there. I was able to talk to him and get some great information about what is going on. He said they are weaning him off the oxygen a little at a time, and his blood cultures came back negative so his infection is gone. They are taking the stinking IV out of his head. Great news, great day!

4:30pm: Cooper Trooper is back on oxygen. Other than that he looks awesome. He got to see his Aunt Whitney today and said she is super HOT. Wow, what a ladies man. They took out the IV in his head and it is a comfort to know that he is getting better. Thank you for all of your prayers and happy thoughts.

AUNTIE SUZ & FAMILY: Thank you so much for the wonderful gift you sent Cooper. I can't wait to wrap him up in that beautiful blanket with those cute slippers. So thoughtful! We love you and hope to see you soon.

COOPER SAGA - DAY 5

Special Care Nursery - DAY 5
Today is a great day! Little Cooper is still continuing to thrive. Each day he seems to get cuter and cuter! He will still be hanging out at the hospital until his lungs clear. I experienced my first breakdown last night after the hospital called and said they had to put his IV in his scalp. Holy _ _ _ _ what else can they do to this poor kid. Brian was there to save the day again. After I went to the hospital he ran the kids over to Grandma Greats and showed up at the SCN to see how things were going. He is great! He took me to get a movie and the grocery store to buy stuff for a yummy dinner. We had a great time hanging out for a while together. Charlotte/ Rob great job in raising a wonderful, loving husband....he ROCKS. Today I am taking Carson and Kelton on a date to McDonalds. We are excited to spend some quality time together. I got to go get ready for the hot date. I will fill you all in a little later today. WUV YA
