S-O-L-D

For the first time in 15 years we are officially underemployed. We SOLD Sled Shed and Sticks and Stones to our former employee Charles and his brother Joe. It is so hard to know what to think about this decision because it is what we know and LOVE. You ask, what are you going to be doing now? That is the exciting part. Brian will be building his custom titanium frames FULL time. We have a couple other things on the back burner, but for right now this is what he will be doing. I am excited for Brian to be chasing his dreams. You don't hear of many people following their heart, but this is his passion and we are stoked for the opportunity. We are heading to Utah in the morning to deliver one of his bikes he built for a girl living in Salt Lake City. This trip will include visits to bike shops, material supply manufacturers, business meetings, and maybe a little bit of FUN. No more 80 hour weeks for my husband. No more restless nights thinking about what bikes you need to sell. No more HUFFY fixing. No more putting up with BYU-I students complain about everything. No more leaving town just to worry about what is going on with the shops. We can finally go out of town and not have to stress about what problems will be left for us when we get back. NO MORE, NO MORE, NO MORE. Don't get me wrong there are so many amazing things that have happened to us the past 15 years, but for right now we are excited for the new happenings to come.

It is snowing outside right now. The Ashton road is closed! Tomorrow is MAY!

Heather we are excited for you and your hubby. It sounds like you've thought about this for a good long time. Good luck in the new venture together. It will be nice for the two of you to spend more time together. Have fun in Utah.
What a talent he has!

I never thought I'd see the day you'd sell the shops! Didn't realize it was 15 years either...loco. "Today [you] begin a new life!" (Og Mandino).

Congrats on selling, Heather. I hope you had fun in Utah! I missed seeing you, but it was great to see you up in the frozen tundra. You'll have to send me some info on those bikes Brian builds. I need one to chase my kids. I broke Ash's scooter. Oops.

Sounds like a little bitter sweet, but how great will it be to not have such a huge stress load. You will have to make a post about these bikes Brian is building...he sounds like a very talented man.

Wow....I have such happy memories at the shop! I remember when you guys built the climbing wall. I am happy to say I helped do some painting. It was a big bonus that my hot boyfriend (now husband) worked there! I think I am going to gather a few pics to post. I'm feeling a bit nostalgic at the moment.

Congratulations! I know you guys have wanted to do it for a long time!
