Kelton does the worm

Last night Kelton had an Opera that the kids in his class wrote and produced. It was totally cute. All eyes were on Kelton while he broke out into the breakdance WORM. It was great! PICS TO COME

Behind Schedule

There are so many things going on that it is hard to keep up with the day to day blogging. I will try and catch up on a few fun things that have been going on. Carson has been having fun in Ashton playing with EL Fudges. He has been target practicing with his bb gun and shooting thier poor little chocolate heads off. Man is he a good aim. Little chocolate head and arm parts were flying all over the place. Max didn't seem to mind cleaning up the remains.

KELTON'S LOOSES HIS FIRST TOOTH

On Valentines day Kelton was helping me at Carson's school Valentine party. He tried to open a bag of balloons with his teeth when all of the sudden his tooth flew out across the room. It took a while to round it up and after the initial shock of the blood Kelton was thrilled! Congradulations Kelto

Kelton's Birthday Bash

BRIAN'S AMAZING DECORATING SKILLS AT WORK

Yesterday was a great day for my little buddy Kelton. I can't believe he is six years old now. Where does the time go? Kelton woke up about 2:00am with a fever of 102.5. My usual response to his fever would have been...."Holy crap you have a high fever - you are sooooooo sick!" Instead of responding in a negative way, I said "Kelton you are not sick at all, you don't have a fever. You need to just tell yourself that you feel good". He started to say to himself "I feel good" and after a while he started feeling better. After falling asleep and getting some good rest he woke up and the first thing he said to me was "I feel good".

They were going to head to the mountain to go snowboarding, but we decided to stay close and hang out around town. We went to Fongs and hit the movie house where we saw a cute show Night at the Museum. After a while he started feeling a little bit yucky so we decided to go home and relax. He was able to enjoy most of the day feeling like a champ. I still can't believe he is six years old! Wow, time sure flies.

THE SECRET

For the past few days I have been involved in learning about the new "Secret". So far I have found it pretty fascinating to learn about how we can control pretty much everything with our thoughts. It has made me think about how great life is and how happy we can be by just the way we think. I have put this to the test the past few days and am impressed to tell you that it works. I have been much happier, and feal more greatful than I have felt in years. I will continue learning about "the secret" and fill you all in on how things are going.

Why Women Are Crabby

Although this fun little tribute doesn't follow the steps to "the secret" I found it actually quite hillarious.

We started to "bud" in our blouses at 9 or 10 years old only to find that anything that came in contact with those tender, blooming buds hurt so bad it brought us to tears. So came the ridiculously uncomfortable training bra contraption that the boys in school would snap until we had calluses on our backs. This is a Trip! It's real!

Next, we get our periods in our early to mid-teens (or sooner). Along with those budding boobs, we bloated, we cramped, we got the hormone crankies, had to wear little mattresses between our legs or insert tubular, packed cotton rods in places we didn't even know we had. Our next little rite of passage was having sex for the first time which was about as much fun as having a ramrod push your uterus through your nostrils (IF he did it right and didn't end up with his little cart before his horse), leaving us to wonder what all the fuss was about.

Then it' was off to Motherhood where we learned to live on dry crackers and water for a few months so we didn't spend the entire day leaning over Brother John. Of course, amazing creatures that we are (and we are), we learned to live with the growing little angels inside us steadily kicking our innards night and day making us wonder if we were preparing to have Rosemary's Baby.

Our once flat bellies looked like we swallowed a watermelon whole and we pee'd our pants every time we sneezed. When the big moment arrived, the dam in our blessed Nether Regions invariably burst right in the middle of the mall and we had to waddle, with our big cartoon feet, moaning in pain all the way to the ER.

Then it was huff and puff and beg to die while the OB says, "Please stop screaming, Mrs. Hearmeroar. Calm down and push. Just one more good push (more like 10)," warranting a strong, well-deserved impulse to punch the %*#!* (and hubby) square in the nose for making us cram a wiggling, mushroom-headed 10lb bowling ball through a keyhole.

After that, it was time to raise those angels only to find that when all that "cute" wears off, the beautiful little darlings morphed into walking, jabbering, wet, gooey, snot-blowing, life-sucking little poop machines.

Then come their "Teen Years." Need I say more? When the kids are almost grown, we women hit our voracious sexual prime in our early 40's - while hubby had his somewhere around his 18th birthday.

So we progress into the grand finale: "The Menopause," the Grandmother of all womanhood. It's either take HRT and chance cancer in those now seasoned "buds" or the aforementioned Nether Regions, or, sweat like a hog in July, wash your sheets and pillowcases daily and bite the head off anything that moves.

Now, you ask WHY women seem to be more spiteful than men, when men get off so easy, INCLUDING the icing on life's cake: Being able to pee in the woods without soaking their socks...

So, while I love being a woman, "Womanhood" would make the Great Gandhi a tad crabby. Women are the "weaker sex"? Yeah right. Bite me.

What a good PAIN

THE FASTEST BOBSLED RUN EVER!

KELTON AND BRIAN RACING

GIDDY CARSON AND KELTON

I can't begin to tell you how painful this week has been. Sunday after church I went to put in some laundry before heading up to Ashton. On the drive up to Ashton I started getting this awful pain in my back. By the time I arrived at the house I could not even get out of the car! It was a nightmare. It hurts to sit, lay, stand, bend, wipe,....you name it! I have missed work all this week due to this annoying pain. I have tried going to a massage therapist, and was desperate enough to go to the chiropractor. Finally, on Wednesday Mom, Dad, and Shawn came over to give me a blessing. It was great to know that everything was going to be alright. Each day seems to have it's trials still, but I am truly thankful to be able to still have the ability to walk (like a pregnant lady). I have learned to greater appreciate those who live with a disability. We are so lucky. Brian has been AMAZING! Doing his 4 jobs plus all the house work. I don't know what I would do without him.

ON THE LIGHTER SIDE OF THINGS
Brian's brother came up to help for the weekend at the house in Ashton. They didn't get much work done because they wanted to be outside all day playing with the boys on the rockin sleigh hill. They created a bobsled run, and this thing is FAST! They were like little giddy children running up and down the hill as if they had never seen snow before. They were out there for hours. We are truly lucky and blessed for this opportunity to try something new. So far we are loving the beautiful outdoors.

Worth Living

I got a little frustrated with the whole blogging thing a couple of days ago. I wrote up this LONG entry and when I went to publish it blogger said they were doing something to their site. It erased my whole LONG entry. The past couple of days I have been working at the hospital, and Brian has been texturing walls in Ashton. I showed up for work yesterday in jeans because this is all that will fit me right now. They almost made me go home and change. Don't they understand that a prego woman can wear whatever we want whenever we want to! I also was able to attend the funeral of Josh a couple days ago. It is sad when there are more young children at a funeral than old. The program was good and his mom said alot of great things that life is worth living....no matter how bad things may seem. I have to agree LIFE IS WORTH LIVING!

Count Down

Woke up this morning for the women's spin class. I have to start thinking slim because today is weigh day. I have a 6 week check up this morning and man am I looking forward to it. "How much weight did you gain this week?" "I think if you just ate healthy and exercised you would be able to maintain a healthy weight." Those doctors sure know what to say to make you feel beautiful. NOT! I will let you know the damage when I return. Things are going great though. I feel good and I think that is all that matters at this point.

Impressed!

Kelton is our next musician in the family. He loves beating on his drum set at all hours of the day. He is also learning some new cords and strums on his little guitar Carson bought him for Christmas. They sure enjoy hanging out together.
I am so impressed by all of you weight loss folk! Each night or morning I read your blog to see what you have been eating and how small you are getting. I so want to start Southbeach but I think the kido likes his carbs right now.
Brian has been busy working on the home in Ashton. It is good for him to be up there. He is a totally different person when he is there. Happy, excited, and just down right all smiles. We can't wait!
Boice family spin class was last night and man was it fun....(stinking hard). We have a lot of dedicated spinners in our family! Have a happy day.

Snow!

Wow, did we wake up to a snowstorm this morning. It dumped about 4-6 inches on the ground and many roads are closed. It is about time winter hitRexburg. Ashton got slammed with snow. Brian had to go buy a snow blower so he could get into the house today. In Ashton he got stopped trying to go up to the home and they almost wouldn't let him in due to the drifted snow. How fun! I just got home from work and man what a
fulfilling day. By fulfilling I mean........ice cream, Great Harvest cookies and bread, and lots of chocolate. I have been trying to be like the rest of youSouth beach folk, but man does this kid crave sweets! The boys are on their way home from
Asthon, so I am off to make a HEALTHY dinner.

Ashtonites

As of yesterday we are completely thrilled to be new Ashtonites! I don't know how it will be, but we are excited to try something new......and for us moving is definitely something new. I took the boys ice skating yesterday. Carson refused to go and try something new, but I MADE him. As he was crying inside the car I said "Carson, I think you will really like it." He was so mad at me for a long time. After getting Keltons skates on Carson decided to join the fun. They did not want to leave. I had to pry their skates off of them. I taught the women's spin class this morning and felt great! I think this kid is going to come out saying "go faster, push it, great job". Life is good around here.
Great job on Southbeach for those of you who have been so faithful. It is fun to listen to your success and all of the pain you go through on a daily basis.
